NCCD is committed to equitable approaches and treatment in the social systems that we work in, and committed to diversity and inclusion in our own workplace. In 2016 NCCD established a Diversity and Inclusion Committee. The three primary goals of the committee are:
- Build capacity and competency to lead and manage a diverse workforce.
- Create a work environment that ensures equal access to opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
- Develop cultural competence and responsiveness to maximize effectiveness with clients and partners, while considering and respecting each individual’s unique perspectives, experience, and needs.
