Leader in Juvenile Justice Reform Urges Continued Research
In an op-ed published by the Juvenile Justice Information Exchange, Shay Bilchik urges the federal government to continue investing in research and evidence-based juvenile justice policy and practice, despite the new administration’s stated intent to move the country in another direction on many issues. Bilchik, director of the Center for Juvenile Justice Reform, opines that current research regarding data-driven best practices in juvenile justice, including that of NCCD, has created improved outcomes for system-involved youth in jurisdictions across the nation.
