Stephanie Butler joined NCCD’s SafeMeasures® team at the start of 2019 after spending several years as a SafeMeasures “champion” and core team leader for the State of Tennessee. Stephanie has experience working directly and indirectly with children, vulnerable adults, and their families. From 2013 until joining NCCD, Stephanie worked in the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services (DCS) as the director of internal quality control for the Office of Child Safety and as the project manager/core team lead for SafeMeasures. In addition to her work in quality assurance and SafeMeasures, Stephanie also assisted the state’s child abuse hotline in multiple revisions and implementation of the Structured Decision Making® intake assessment tool. Prior to joining DCS, she held positions with the Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, where she assisted with the administration of abuse/neglect investigations for vulnerable adults and children while ensuring that initiatives and practice were data-driven and well informed.
