Program Associate

Katie Meyer joined NCCD’s Madison office as a program associate in 2012 to work on the promotion, marketing, development, and implementation of NCCD’s Juvenile Assessment and Intervention System™ (JAIS) and Correctional Assessment and Intervention System™. Prior to her work at NCCD, Katie coordinated an evidence-based practice effort for a state agency, developed a centralized data tracking system, and helped develop a governance plan for a risk and needs assessment tool reporting application. Katie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in urban and regional studies with an emphasis in planning from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and a Master of Science in urban studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

The Juvenile Assessment and Intervention System TM (JAIS) is a multidimensional assessment and supervision system that includes actuarial risk assessment and a comprehensive assessment of needs. JAIS TM is designed to assist workers in developing appropriate strategies for each youth at intake, rather than learning what works with youth over time on a trial-and-error basis.
