The research intern will gain marketable real-world skills through working with our experienced, supportive staff. Collaborating with the research team on one or more projects, the intern will take part in child welfare, juvenile justice, and/or criminal justice research that affects communities and policy. Tasks may include researching and drafting literature reviews; helping develop data collection tools and documents such as surveys, interview guides, and consent forms; assisting with quantitative and/or qualitative data collection, entry, cleaning, coding, and analysis; helping draft reports, grant proposals, blog entries for NCCD’s website, and other documents; and attending and taking notes for meetings with NCCD staff, our partners, and our funders. Web Application Tester Intern
NCCD seeks a web application tester intern for the SafeMeasures® team in our Madison office. SafeMeasures is NCCD’s state-of-the-art data reporting service for social service agencies. The intern will collaborate with our programmer and our policy & reporting analyst to test and modify web pages within a defined application framework. You will be responsible for transforming a large number of front-end web application pages to work with a new back end, proofreading work, troubleshooting, and resolving or escalating issues.
