
The Director of Research-Midwest is responsible for the leadership and development of a comprehensive organizational research program that focuses on applied research to support NCCD’s mission and strategic initiatives, with a concentrated focus on child welfare. The primary responsibility of the director is to bring new resources to the agency through the creation of a rigorous program of research, evaluation, and grant writing. The director will identify and coordinate research opportunities, including planning, writing, and following up on grant applications. The director must be highly organized with the ability to manage complex processes, work effectively under pressure, use independent judgment, and produce quality work within tight time constraints. This position reports to the vice president, and is based in NCCD’s Midwest office in Madison, WI. Routine travel is required (annual average of two times per month).

This position is based in NCCD’s Madison, WI, office and will provide extensive support to project managers to promote/market, develop, implement, and manage JAIS and CAIS systems in client sites. This position requires knowledge of, and experience in, juvenile and/or adult justice systems, and demonstrated advanced skills in workgroup facilitation and interpersonal skills. Experience working to effect system change is highly desirable. This position requires frequent national travel.

The system engineer works to develop requirements, specifications, and design for hosted web-based data reporting and case management applications. Tasks include working with clients in the design phase, consulting with end users to test and debug applications to meet client needs, and implementing and managing the hosted applications.

The Madison, WI, office is looking for a full-time database programmer/data analyst. The successful candidate will work with very large datasets, modeling real-world processes, standards, and regulations based on legal/organizational business rules, and will develop repeatable, efficient methods for extracting and aggregating such data using SQL and the Oracle PL/SQL language.
