NCCD’s internship program at the Oakland office provides individuals the opportunity to enhance their skills and expand their knowledge in a variety of areas including research, policy, communications, and development. Interns are matched with senior staff and work on a wide array of projects which may include LGBT youth in the justice system, restorative justice, gang prevention, and the intersection of nonprofit communications and development.
NCCD seeks current graduate students for summer internships; individuals with life and work experience that is comparable to an advanced degree are also encouraged to apply. In general, NCCD recruits full-time research/policy interns for the summer (June to August). Recruitment for the summer 2013 internship program has now concluded. Please check back later this year for information about the summer 2014 internship program. Other internships will be posted as needed.
