You’ve Got SafeMeasures®. Now What?

Sarah Hesse

“Now what?” is probably the most common question NCCD staff get from agencies after they implement SafeMeasures®SafeMeasures, NCCD’s state-of-the-art data reporting service, helps social service agencies improve client outcomes by transforming case management data into actionable information. Consistent and proactive SafeMeasures use within all levels of an agency is a powerful way to improve positive outcomes for children, youth, and families. Agency administrators use SafeMeasures to communicate priorities and monitor performance. Supervisors leverage SafeMeasures data to monitor their unit and staff performance, while workers rely on SafeMeasures dashboards to manage current and upcoming tasks.

Whatever your role in your agency, helping you answer the question “Now what?” is the purpose of our pre-conference session, “Off the Charts! SafeMeasures Power-Up.” This session is a wonderful opportunity for workers, supervisors, trainers, and anyone else who wants to learn more about incorporating SafeMeasures data into their daily practice. Program Manager Scott Burdick and other staff at the Orange County Social Services Agency in California have been successfully using SafeMeasures data to inform their practice for over 15 years, longer than any other agency. Scott, who is also a highly respected, dynamic trainer, is an expert in many areas of social work, ranging from emergency response to quality assurance to family reunification and legal guardianship. This remarkable wealth of knowledge has granted Scott with a true understanding of how to unite practice, supervision, and data, and he’ll help you get there too.

We understand that social workers are busy. You probably didn’t get into this field because you love data. But social work is becoming increasingly more reliant on data, so why not learn how to make it work for you? Come join us for this high-energy, interactive opportunity to learn from each other and Scott. Bring your questions. Exchange best practices with your fellow supervisors. Learn how your fellow workers have embraced data as a friend rather than a foe.

And no, you don’t have to be a SafeMeasures client to attend this session. In fact, it’s one of the best ways available to learn about how SafeMeasures can work in your agency, from people who are using it themselves.

The theme of this year’s NCCD Conference on Children, Youth, and Families is creating solutions. Scott will start off your conference experience on a high note, helping you create solutions that you can carry with you for the rest of the conference and beyond. We can’t wait to see you there!
