Julie Davis joined NCCD in 2014 as a senior program specialist. An advanced practice social worker residing in Wisconsin, Julie has worked in the child welfare field for more than 11 years. Prior to joining NCCD, she was the continuous quality improvement section chief at the State of Wisconsin Department of Children and Families, Division of Management Services, Bureau of Performance Management, where she supervised staff who review child welfare practice across the state. Prior to this position, Julie was the alternative response policy analyst for the State of Wisconsin, Department of Children and Families, Division of Safety and Permanence. In other child welfare work, she was the pediatric child protection social worker for the University of Wisconsin (UW) Children’s Hospital Child Protection Program, where she assisted the child protection physicians in caring for children who were potential victims of child abuse and neglect, and an initial assessment worker for Dane County Human Services, where she was responsible for assessing reports of child abuse and neglect. Julie received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from UW-Madison.
